Just a quick though, quote, or uplifting picture!

Feast Day!

Today is a special day to me and my mom – it’s our Baptismal saint’s feast day! We share the middle name Louise, named after St. Louise de Marillac, the Foundress of the Sisters of Charity (not to be confused with Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity). She was raised in wealth, but always had a heart for the poor from childhood. After her husband’s early death, she joined a religious order, and under the direction of St. Vincent de Paul, she founded the Daughters of Charity, whose work was primarily in hospitals and with the poor and infirm on the streets in France.

She is the patron saint of widows, social workers, and the sick.

St. Louise de Marillac, pray for us!

True Art

I had this thought the other day, and thought I would share it. Remember, everyone is a teacher, whether by word or example.

“Teaching is an art, like painting or sculpting, save only the subject being made beautiful is a human soul.”

His Lamb

You see the sweet little lamb nestled close in His arms?

That’s you.

Like a Shepherd, He feeds His flock,
And gathers the lambs in His arms,
Holding them carefully close to His heart,
Leading them Home.
